AAGP Position Statement: Antipsychotic Medications for Persons with Dementia

Adopted by the Board of Directors of the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry in April 2012

There are circumstances in which it is appropriate to prescribe antipsychotic medications to persons with dementia.

AAGP is currently working on a more comprehensive background document to support this statement.
