Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso’s Paul L. Foster School of Medicine seeks to hire a Geriatric Psychiatrist to join the faculty in the newly created Department of Psychiatry – Transmountain.
This unique opportunity is or a dynamic clinician-educator to be a foundational faculty member in building a new department, forming a new residency program, and establishing a new clinical practice to include the teaching of medical students. A new up to date medical office building within walking distance from the teaching hospital will house the new program.
This position requires an M.D. or D.O. degree, licensed or eligibility for an unrestricted medical licensure in Texas, and successful completion of an ACGME accredited Psychiatry residency and ACGME accredited Geriatric Psychiatry fellowship program. Preference will be given to candidates with board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and experience and demonstrated interest in teaching students and residents.
