Best of Both in Brooklyn: A Combined Outpatient & Inpatient Geriatric Psychiatrist Option
Essentially, this Psychiatrist role will be dedicated to leading the effort to further integrate Geriatric Psychiatry into a very large, academically-oriented Primary Care network. In this regard, there will also be an Inpatient Consultation Liaison Psychiatry component
This network is part of a financially stable academic medical system in New York City with a reputation for world-class clinical and academic excellence.
The hours for this position are M-F 9am-5pm. There are no on-call expectations. It’s possible to adjust the hours somewhat to accommodate your preferences.
- Board Certified in Psychiatry and a valid New York State medical license (or eligible to obtain one)
- Recent or current Geriatric Psychiatry background, with a clear preference for those with Ambulatory Behavioral Health experience.
- A genuine desire to provide evidenced-based, quality care to an underserved population
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The compensation range for this role is on-par for comparable roles in the greater NYC region. There are full health benefits, Medical Malpractice, Short and Long-Term Disability and paid time-off.
Also qualifies for NHSC loan repayment (since it is part of an FQHC network). Plus tuition reimbursement for the Attending Physician and her/his dependent children, along with many other benefits and perks.
Finally, the position includes a faculty appointment commensurate with experience in the Department of Psychiatry at the School of Medicine.
