The VA Medical Center in Providence, Rhode Island is pleased to announce a Geriatric Psychiatrist position in the General Outpatient Mental Health Service (Comprehensive Ambulatory Services –CAPS)
The VA Medical Center in Providence, Rhode Island is recruiting and accepting applications for one full-time permanent Geriatric Psychiatrist in the General Outpatient Mental Health Clinic (CAPS). In addition to clinical care, the Geriatric Psychiatrist may assist CAPS leadership in developing and implementing an integrated geriatric specialty outpatient mental health program to serve older adult Veterans and caregivers. Opportunities to participate in supervision and teaching in support of the geriatric psychiatry residency program at the Warren Alpert Medical Center of Brown University are also available. Applicants should be energetic, innovative, organized, and enjoy working as part of an integrated, interdisciplinary team in providing care to older adults.
The geriatric psychiatrist will be aligned with the Mental Health and Behavioral Science Services (MHBSS) service line and will be based at the Providence VAMC main campus.
This position is not remote but may include some telework and alternate work schedules (compressed tour).
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP)
