Staff Psychiatrist, McLean Hospital - Belmont, MA
Division of Geriatric Psychiatry
McLean Hospital is inviting applications for the position of Staff Psychiatrist in our Division of Geriatric Psychiatry. This is a 1.0 FTE position, which will incorporate clinician and clinical research roles.
Clinical duties will include the provision of direct clinical services to outpatients in our Older Adult clinic, Memory Disorders Assessment Clinic and SAGE group therapy program. Duties may also include a pre-negotiated amount of weekend inpatient coverage. This position will also include opportunities for research via participation in the division's rapidly-expanding research program. The clinical research position will include assessment and management of subjects enrolling in clinical trials of disease-modifying therapeutics for MCI and Alzheimer’s dementia, implementation of digital tools for enhanced mental health care and clinical studies for the assessment and management of the behavioral symptoms of dementia. Opportunities for developing the clinician-researcher’s own research portfolio will be supported in an environment that helps to promote professional development.
- M.D. and board certification in Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry is preferred.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of MA.
- Must have expertise in diagnosing and treating psychiatric disorders in older adults, comfort with managed care, and one or more years of post-training clinical experience.

Salary and recruitment package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position will incorporate Harvard Medical School appointments commensurate with qualifications meeting HMS academic appointment criteria for Instructor or Assistant Professor.
