Summary: In this presentation we will discuss the epidemiology, neurobiology, diagnosis and evidence based treatments for Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD). We will also elaborate on the recent controversies in the treatment of BPSD. Finally, we will provide an evidence based guideline to assess and treat patients with BPSD thereby helping clinicians optimize outcomes for their patients.
