Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Geriatrics Service)

Dartmouth Health’s Department of Psychiatry seeks a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to work with our Geriatric Services team. This position will be based at our Academic Medical Center located in beautiful northern New England.
In this role, you will be a part of an interdisciplinary team, building a center of excellence for meeting the needs of our aging population. You will be supported to practice independently, at the top of your scope, while working collaboratively with other expert clinicians in Geriatrics, including six board-certified geriatric psychiatrists, and with our geriatric fellowship trainees. As part of the Academic Medical Center, you will be contributing to the education of interdisciplinary trainees, and future healthcare leaders as well as have opportunities in research and academic advancement.
In addition, you will be joining a team of more than 30 Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners within the Department and have access to continuing education opportunities throughout the Dartmouth Health System.
The ideal candidate will be a skilled clinician and enthusiastic teacher with interest and expertise in outpatient and consultative psychiatry for older adults.

Qualifications
– Graduate of an accredited APRN academic program
– National specialty certification as Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Required Licensure/Certifications
– Eligible for RN licensure in the State of NH (APRN only)
– Eligible for APRN licensure in the State of NH
– Eligible for Federal DEA Registration
– BLS certification
